Team Brookline 2017 Application

Thank you for your interest in running the 121st Boston Marathon in April 2017 with Team Brookline! We welcome runners from Brookline and beyond.

Please note the following:

Please allow for 20-30 minutes to complete your Team Brookline application. We recommend spending additional time, prior to starting your application, outlining your fundraising plan as this is an integral part of your application.

We have a limited number of race entries. Team runners are selected based on the responses provided in the application and, in select cases, a phone interview. Each application is reviewed carefully and we select those who we feel will be the best fit for the team. We look for runners who have a strong connection to the causes represented by the team charities and who make a robust fundraising commitment with a strong plan to meet or exceed their goal.

Applications are also evaluated on past race participation/running experience and past fundraising results.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until Monday, October 17, 2016.

Team selection will be finalized in late October and applicants will be notified of their team status by then at the latest.

Once the team is complete, a number of runners who have not been accepted will be added to our wait list. If a team member withdraws from the team, a wait-listed runner will be invited to join the team.

At the end of the application, you will be asked to pay a non-refundable $25 fee in order to formally submit your application.

Upon acceptance to the team, runners make a $100 non-refundable (tax-deductible) donation to kick-off their fundraising effort (this counts toward their minimum fundraising commitment) and are solely responsible for paying the Boston Athletic Association’s entry fee ($350 in 2016).
